SPECIFICATIONS:

The machining of thread profiles at small motor shafts requires

(besides high quality & profile accuracies) also, a short

machining time in order to fulfill the high piece numbers per time

unit required by industry.

The machine conception PW3.065 offers the possibility to load &

unload automatically parallel with the machining use as well as

to polish machine workpieces in a further step & therefore to

keep on a high level the desired end quality of the product to be

manufactured.

A 3-spindle workpiece drive can grant this job in one chucking,

where as after every machining step the workpiece is continued to

be clocked by 120 Deg. & then taken out again at the loading

position.

The whirling unit is located on a cross slide traversable in a

horizontal & vertical axis & exactly moveable on hardened &

ground guide ways.

A pneumatically inslewable polishing drive does the trimming &

the surface fine machining.

Tool guidance & workpiece guidance are separate so that the

cutting process can be done without collision in a very small

space.

The tool axes are positioned via a ball screw & 3-phase motors.

There is a good accessability to the tool as well as a simple

chip removal due to the steep bed construction. Furthermore,

automatic loading & unloading systems can be included in the

machine conception in a most simple way.
